Soul Expression and Integration
After the Truth Ceremony (previous post) and a visit to the Chalice Well on Day 4, Day 5 started off with soul expression and integration.
First we got in touch with our inner selves through the holy oils, music and movement. I had shifted so much energy during that big day of anointing that I didn’t feel much come up to be released.
However, deep feelings of peace and joy bubbled up from within and flowed out through my heart as we wove together the energies we’d been working with. The red, the feminine, and the white, the masculine, merging and being crowned in gold.
Then we stood in front of a canvas and the mentors came around with red, white and gold paint for us to create an image of our soul.
No pressure! 😂
Ordinarily I’d have freaked out. I don’t consider myself artistic in that sense. I used to be a journalist; words are the creative well that I dip into.
But something changed. Maybe it was the oils, the energies, the integration all coming together, but I took up my paintbrush, stared at the canvas a moment, then promptly dropped it.
I dipped my fingers into the red paint and just moved them. Slowly the shape of a butterfly came through. Then as I was drawing its body, it morphed into what looked like DNA strands, or the energetic channels of Ida and Pingala.
Flames of gold tinged with red crown and emanate from this radiant creature.
I’m in no way saying that this painting is a masterpiece of art.
But is absolutely the masterpiece of my soul.
And I love it.
